Longitude-EDS Software System
The software system is designed for a wide range of educational, research and diagnostic tasks in the area of psychology and education.
The system includes two main interfaces in line with two key areas of application:
- An applicative system Longitude, developed on the basis of Longitude Expert system - individual follow-up of children's growth and development; specifically, on its basic version (Longitude B) designed for preschool age. Currently it is being expanded to Longitude+ version with addition of applied methods for a wider range of age groups and application areas.
- Experimental-Diagnostic System (EDS) is designed for education and research purposes. It is a set of diagnostic, research and educational methods, developed for educational use at the faculties of psychology in the following context: training workshops, collection and processing of experimental data (from term papers and graduate thesis to degree dissertations), data collection as may be required for adaptation and standardization of methods, which do not have modern adapted versions.
For ease of reference, you may choose an interface most suitable for your work – applied or research educational. Switching between interfaces is possible at any stage of operation. General correlation between interfaces and their versions (basic, “B” and expanded, “+”) is shown in the table below.

The distributive can be found on Download page. After installation the system works in educational demo version.
Can be transferred to a release version Longitude B / Longitude +, according to the type of the purchased license.
Students can have a free student version (operation mode) – EDS B – see www.eds.pu.ru.

Longitude-EDS is being developed at the Faculty of Psychology of St. Petersburg State University in parallel with other projects, which have common program and content units, distributed as one installation package:
EDS – experimental diagnostic system of psycho-diagnostic methods for research and education.
NPS – a research project on computer modeling of neuropsychological systems based on neural network and oscillatory approaches.
Technically, this project is also linked to the development of the descriptive basis of psychological methods – an online catalogue of research and diagnostic methods, applied at the Faculty of Psychology of St. Petersburg State University.
